Group Therapy

Interaction also offers group therapy programs. There are a number of benefits to attending group therapy programs. Group therapy can facilitate connection with others experiencing similar issues, and can be a helpful forum for providing people with education about developing specific skills such as emotion regulation skills, and social skills. Depending on the area of need, group therapy can be a useful therapy on its own, or in combination with individual therapy.

Interaction can offer the following group therapy programs:

  • Emotion-Based Social Skills Training for children
  • Sibworks
  • Cool Kids Program for Anxiety
  • Stress and coping group for adults with a mild Intellectual Disability
  • Triple P positive parenting program

Group therapy programs can also be funded by the NDIS, under the ‘Improved Daily Living’ support area.
